School is out and the Summer Reading Program has begun.  This year we have a webpage all about the summer reading programs for kids, teens and tweens who can "Spark a Reaction,"

It's all about science and making things at the library this summer. Make a reusable shopping bag out of a t-shirt - Sat July 26th, make a thaumatrope on Sat July 12th - "What is a thaumatrope?" or come to:

Join us for a morning of science! Make a lava lamp, explode a plastic bag with chemistry, experiment with red-cabbage pH indicator, make an Incredible Thunder Machine, and be amazed by the Amazing Egg Bash!

Butterflies!
Wednesday July 30th at 11:00 am
Jerry Schneider, Butterfly and Bat Scientist Expert from Vermont, will give a presentation on Butterflies, their characteristics, habitat, diet, everything you want to know in a slide show, followed by a fantastic t-shirt craft for which Mr. Jerry will have a model.
Mr. Jerry will also cover the Monarch migration as well. Why weren't there a lot of Monarch butterflies last year?
Craft will be held outside if it's nice weather.
