Now thanks to a few Weathersfield community supporters, you have a place to drop off your library materials right in Perkinsville at the Downer's Corners Store. A few months ago, library patron Carol Peebles came in to the library and asked if we would ever consider a book return in Perkinsville. I told her that I thought there used to be one in the Post Office and there was no reason why we couldn't have one again - but where?  Fast forward a couple of weeks and I saw Carol again at the library and she was very excited.  She had talked with June French, the Manager of the Downer's Corners Store and June said she would love to have a book return in the store. "It's a great community service." said June.

Word soon got around that we needed someone to build a book return and in stepped Len LeBrun who designed and built the book return and donated it to the Library. Library Assistant Lynn Esty will be picking up books several times a week from the store.
There is such a creative spirit in Weathersfield, just put a few heads together and look what happens!
All of us at the Library would like to say a big Thank You to everyone involved with this project for your generosity, and time and talent.

Thank You
Nancy Tusinski, Library Director
